Mendoza advises Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional as liquidity lender in connection with Green Movil’s new fleet of electric buses and the largest depot for electric buses in Latin America.
We are proud to announce that Mendoza participated in the financing for the acquisition of a fleet of 406 electric buses in the city of Bogotá D.C by Greenmovil, a joint venture between the local operator Fanalca and the French world leader Transdev.
The project not only entailed the new bus fleet for Colombia’s capital city but as well Latin America’s largest depot for electric buses.
Mendoza acted as legal counsel to FDN as liquidity lender in the legal due diligence process, the structuring of the liquidity financing product and the closing of the financing.
We are happy to work towards the transition to cleaner energy sources for Bogotá’s public transportation system that represent an improvement of its citizens life quality, especially considering “that with the entering into operations of these fleet, 6.5 tons of particulate matter per year and 17 thousand tons of CO2 will no longer be emitted” commented our associate Maria Esther Eljach.
With this financing, Mendoza reinforces its commitment with sustainable transportation alternatives, having participated as legal counsel in the financing of over 700 electric buses in the city of Bogotá D.C. In the deal participated Maria Esther Eljach, Daniel Restrepo and Valentina Rico.
